It is crazy how fast time travels. It is not just when you are having fun. I am having fun, but this everyday life is not an ongoing party. I just can’t believe we are in mid-June. It feels like the New Year just started, and everyone is making fresh new goals to conquer. Here I am still looking for a job, while keeping busy around the house. Updates on how life is going are in order.
The job search continues, with no luck. Or maybe it is with luck. Of the handful of jobs I’ve scored interviews for when I left the interview I thought man, I hope they don’t call me back. Yet, at the same time, it is a blow to my self-esteem when they don’t call back. Ryan said it is a good thing and I need to look at it as such. Those jobs are not really the ones I want. And he is right.
Nevertheless, I keep applying to jobs that interest me.
The state of Florida is currently divided. That sounds dramatic, doesn’t it? Really, it is not what you are thinking. It’s the weather. It is always the weather. I sit on the edge of my seat always concerned about the weather.
The southern part of the state is flooding. In some areas, they have received two feet of rain.
The upper part of Florida is in a drought. I keep seeing people on social media wanting the rain to stop and here I sit wanting the rain to start.
Salsa slow down…update

The “salsa garden” isn’t doing too well. It is the lack of moisture and the excessive heat. The cucumber vines are starting to yellow. I am watering every other day but I believe it is just so hot they are starting to perish. I had big plans for a summer of making pickles, but if cucumber growing ceases so does pickle making.
The cherry tomato plants are producing a large handful of tomatoes every other day. The big tomato plants don’t seem to be growing as I feel like they should. I will hit them with some fertilizer this afternoon, hopefully that will get them moving along.

The jalapenos and bell pepper have fruit growing, yet the plants seem small. This is my first year of “salsa gardening” so I am learning as I go what these different plants need to thrive.
Gut Feelings updates
Previously, on the IBS homefront of life, I started on the Metamucil fiber gummies. My symptoms have been improving, but I know they are looming in the distance waiting to blow up. Literally.
The Metamucil gummies seem to be doing something. Something for the good in my gut. The bloat seems to be non-existent. Which is a blessing. I hate to say it, but I feel like I could handle the diarrhea if you could just take away the other factors with it. Such as the nausea and the bloat. Currently, all symptoms are at bay.
The regimen for me, is two gummies in the morning with breakfast and two gummies at night with dinner. My dad is taking a total of nine a day and that seems to be helping him. So if you are going to give these a try, I would suggest starting at a lower dosage and building up to where you are feeling better. Because I don’t know that nine would be as beneficial to me as they are to my dad.
Do you all have any life updates for me?
